About Bear Mountain:
Over the years Troop Chairman Tom McGrath has spent quite a few days hiking and camping in the Bear Mountain area in Salisbury CT and has always thought of it as a "special" place. Just recently he discovered that it was listed as one of the "Last Great Places" in the U.S. by the Nature Conservancy.
